The Sosat via ferrata is an equipped track connecting Rifugio Tuckett, Rifugio Alimonta and Rifugio Brentei streching on the rocky crags of the Punte di Madonna di Campiglio. It develops through the ledges of the east side of the marvelous Dolomiti di Brenta Range and it provides spectacular views on Mount Presanella and on Mount Adamello, on the Vallesinella Range and, in the final stretch, on Mount Crozzon, on Mount Cima Tosa and on the Brenta Range.

Information about Sosat via ferrata

The Sosat via ferrata is an exciting and extremely scenic path developing among the characteristic dolomite pinnacles, cols, couloirs and ledges. This itinerary is pretty easy and definitely not too exposed; it features only one demanding passage - however optimally equipped - consisting in a steep wall by a gorge. The via ferrata features a 400 meters elevation gap (1300 meters for the whole excursion). The via Ferrata Sosat can be climbed in both directions and it is equipped with metal wires, ladders, rungs, brackets and nails.

The excursion starts from Rifugio Vallesinella, right above Madonna di Campiglio and it follows a spectacular path before the Bocchette Centrali, Mount Bocca di Brenta and Mount Crozzon di Brenta leading, then, to the attack of the via ferrata. Through a likewise exciting trail, the descent brings back to Rifugio Vallesinella.
