Information about Torre di Toblin via ferrata

The Ferrata delle Scalette (Ladders Track) also known as Torre di Toblin via ferrata is a short, very steep and particularly exposed climb mostly developing on stretches equipped with often overhanging ladders. The exposed passages call for climbing experience, strong arms and no vertigo. The well trained hikers can connect this climb with Innerkofler via ferrata to Mount Paterno.

The Torre di Toblin via ferrata is equipped with ladders and metal wire during its whole extension. The Ferrata delle Scalette features a 150 meter elevation gain (500 meters for the whole excursion).

The excursion starts from the parking lot by Rifugio Auronzo, at an elevation of 2326 meters, from where the approach starts on a nice trail that reaches col Sella Paterno and Rifugio Tre Cime (2405 meters). Climbing up, then, under the south wall of Mount Torre di Toblin we reach the attack of the via ferrata.

From the top of the mountain the descent takes place through the northwest wall on the Cappellano equipped trail (Sentiero Attrezzato Cappellano). Through a partially equipped path we will go back to the starting point.
