The equipment is very sturdy and it features metal wires and brackets. The path features some little couloirs and passages on exposed ledges.

The excursion, featuring an overall elevation gain of 1700 meters, starts from Palafavera by Passo Staulanza. The approach develops with a very nice walk and it leads to Rifugio Coldai and to the attack of the via ferrata, right below Mount Torre di Coldai. The long way back from the summit takes place through steep and slippery sloped ledges that call for caution.
