Program of the Bocchette via ferrata 3-day trip

Three days of touring in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites along the Via delle Bocchette, which involves the combination of 3 via ferratas: the equipped trail A. Benini, the High Bocchette, and the Central Bocchette.

Day 1
The itinerary starts at Rifugio Stoppani, which can be reached using the Grosté lifts. From Passo Grostè (2444m), where you can admire unique views of the Dolomites of Brenta, the Presanella Group, Adamello, and Cevedale, after a short approach (about 40 minutes), you reach the starting point of the Alfredo Benini via ferrata. The first part of the via ferrata climbs along a very panoramic ledge reaching an altitude of 2900m, then descends and returns, offering breathtaking views of Lake Molveno and towards the Adamello Presanella Group, on the western side of the Dolomites of Brenta. After reaching Bocca di Tuckett (2648m), you return first across the glacier and then along the trail to Rifugio Tuckett (2270m). Dinner, overnight stay, and breakfast.

Day 2
From Rifugio Tuckett (2270m), you ascend until you reach Bocca di Tuckett (2648m), where the via ferrata delle Bocchette Alte (High Bocchette) begins. After climbing the north ridge of Cima Brenta, using ladders and metal cables in the most exposed sections, you reach the large ledge that cuts into the east face of the peak. Crossing the spectacular ledge, you arrive above the south face, from where you can admire a breathtaking panorama. You continue along the shoulder of Cima Brenta, and after a short descent, you ascend the famous and airy "scala degli amici" (friends' ladder) and then the Massodi shoulder. Finally, with an enjoyable exposed descent, you arrive at Rifugio Alimonta (2580m). Dinner, overnight stay, and breakfast.

Day 3
From Rifugio Alimonta (2580m), you ascend to Bocca degli Armi (2747m), where the via ferrata delle Bocchette Centrali (Central Bocchette) begins. Through narrow but very panoramic ledges located on the eastern side of Torre di Brenta, Torre degli Sfulmini, and Campanile Alto, you reach Bocchetta del Campanile Basso. From there, you traverse onto the north face of Cima Brenta Alta and then through the south face, arriving at Bocca di Brenta (2553m). Return and end of the Bocchette via ferrata tour.
