The Cengia Veronesi aided path follows along all the bastions of the Fanis peaks, reaching the Gran Portale that divides them from Cima Scotoni, in a wild and adventurous environment treating us to unforgettable views of the surrounding Dolomites.

The excursion is recommended to well-trained individuals used to mountain environment. It starts from the top station of the Lagazuoi cable car. Once we reach the Forcella Lagazuoi, we skirt all the long west face of the Grande Lagazuoi, along a nice military trail reaching the large Fanis terrace. The itinerary continues on the gravel trail climbing to Forcella del Quaire; then, through careful and cautious progression, it follows along the amazing Cengia Veronesi, which is securely bolted in all the exposed and technical sections. The path continues in the direction of the Forcella del Lago on a steep trail that comes down to beautiful Lago Scotoni. From there we climb up to Forcella Lagazuoi and return to Passo Falzarego and the parking lot at the cable car’s start.
