Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to Punta Valacia

The excursion starts from Rifugio Soldanella, at an elevation of 1415 meters. Climbing up along the sled track, we reach Malga Crocefisso (1526 meters) and we enter Valle dei Monzoni; as we keep going through the forest track, we climb up to Rifugio Monzoni, at an elevation of 1792 meters and to Malga Monzoni (1862 meters).

Heading West we climb to Conca di Gardecia among evocative alpine cottages and we reach Rifugio Vallaccia, at an elevation of 2267 meters. Following the summer trail, then, we climb through a pretty steep slope and we turn South-West toward the steep slope that brings to Forcella della Costella (2529 meters). Then, through the ridge, we get to the summit Cross.

The view from the mount top is grand. The beautiful ski descent takes place through the climb rout until Baita Crocifisso from which we keep skiing down the ski track to the starting point.
