The ski mountaineering to Punta Giordani starts from Staffal (Gressoney), Alagna or Frachey (Champoluc), the skiers will take the cable car and they will go up to Indren, at an elevation of 3275 meters. The ski touring itinerary starts from the top station of the Indren cable car, at an elevation of 3275 meters.

Going up heading north the itinerary leads to glacier Ghiacciaio Indren. As they keep going up on some ramps (steep at times) the skiers will go up skirting the huge seracs on the side of the mountain. The terminal ridge, then, is reached overtaking a last slope. After leaving their skis, the mountaineers will go up a short but very exposed rocky stretch that leads to a small Madonna statue on the summit.

The ski ride, really fun and thrilling, takes place through the climb route.
