The backcountri ski excursion to Colle di Moncorvè starts from the parking lot in Pont Valsavarenche, at an elevation of 1960 meters. Through the cross-country ski track the path goes up skirting the river before crossing it on a nice little bridge close to Rifugio Tetras Lyre.

In a marvelous environment, then, the itinerary goes up towards Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele taking the summer mule track. The rifugio, at an elevation of 2732 meters, provides the ideal environment for a stop. Going back up, then, on the moraine above the rifugio the hikers will chose the side offering the milder slope.

With free path, then, the itinerary heads for the Colle to reach the summit. The landscape is absolutely beyond words and it welcomes the hikers with its spectacular atmosphere. The fun and thrilling descent ski ride takes place through the climb route.
