Its summit can be reached either from the north or through the south side. Both paths provide a particularly exciting and scenic ascent and a super fun ski ride. South Itinerary
The path starts going up through the cross-country ski track before taking the street to Passo della Forcola. After passing the "Sasso di Pietra Grossa", the declivity gets steeper and, depending on the snow conditions, the path can proceed through the little valley or on the ridge. The climb keeps marvelous until the elevation of 2450 meters from where -on milder declivities- the hikers will continue on nice little valleys towards the hill just aside of the summit. A last steep slope and an easier stretch lead, then, to the summit.
North Itinerary
The path starts going up through the little street that ventures in valley Valle del Monte. After passing the Stebline chalets the hikers will keep going on a sloping ground until the area where the valley widens up and they will, then, cross the beautiful brook on a little bridge before entering a narrow valley. A first rather steep stretch allows to get out of the bottom of the little valley and to reach some nice slopes on which the hikers will go up south-west. Skirting marvelous lake Lago del Monte the path keeps going in a wonderful environment and it comfortably reaches the ridge. A nice up-and-down stretch, then, leads to the summit.
The descent can take place through either of the climb routes. In both cases the ski ride is marvelous.
The ski mountaineering excursion to Mount Monte Ganda starts from an elevation of 1908 meters and it reaches a maximum elevation of 2791 meters covering a total 900 meter elevation gain. It features a development of 14 kilometers and the climb can be done in about three hours.

What you need to know
- Participants Anyone over the age of 16, with an adequate level of training and fitness, can participate in this experience.
- Under 18 Minors under the age of 18, if unaccompanied, require a waiver of liability from the parent or guardian of the child, that must be given to the guide before the excursion begins.
- Equipment Remember to bring the minimum required equipment for the activity. If you do not own the equipment let us know, we will provide it for you, if available or for hire.
- Reservation The reservation for this experience is individual, with a dedicated mountain guide. It may be reserved for a number of participants no greater than the maximum number allowed.
- Excursion price The price shown is for the excursion with the dedicated mountain guide and possible transfer using the guide's private vehicle. It is valid for individual reservations for a number of participants that does not exceed the maximum number allowed.
