Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to Lastron dei Scarperi
The excursion starts from the parking of Piano Fiscalino, at an elevation of 1454 meters; in the beginning the itinerary runs through a marvelous valley until we get by Rifugio Locatelli and we head to Forcella di San Candido that opens on the right of the typical Torre di Toblin. As we keep climbing on steeper and steeper slopes, we reach an elevation of 2700 meters and we enter a steep and narrow couloir that leads to the summit of the mountain.
The spectacular, technical and demanding ski descent will bring us back to the excursion’s starting point.
The ski mountaineering excursion to Lastron dei Scarperi features a 1600 meters elevation gain and loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as OSA (Excellent Mountain Skier). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
