The excursion starts from the top station of the Grosté cable car, at an elevation of 2437 meters. After gaining and losing elevation and after going round a very picturesque pyramid shaped rock, we get to the wide and marvelous hollow of Vedretta di Vallesinella Inferiore from which the two possible itineraries to the summit of Cima Sella branch off.

Both of them feature steep stretches, passages on rock, narrow couloirs and exposed traverses until we get in between the two peaks of the summit. After leaving our skis we reach the summit that offers an incredibly beautiful view. The thrilling and long freeride descent takes place through one of the two possible options towards valley Val Brenta down to Plaza, where we take the ski lift to go back to the starting point.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Sella features a 700 meters elevation gain and a 1800 meters elevation loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as OSA (Excellent Mountain Skier). Maximum incline is 45 degrees.

The itinerary for the climb and the descent will be chosen by the mountain guide according to snow and weather conditions.
