The excursion starts from the top station of the Grosté cable car, at a elevation of 2437 meters; after climbing up through motley grounds, we go round the north east spur of Mount Cima Grosté. From an evocative hollow, then, we cross a nice little coilour and we reach Bocchetta del Campaniletto dei Camosci that welcomes the hikers in its marvelous, almost mystic, atmosphere.

The progression keeps going through a steep coilour that leads to Sella di Cima Grosté, at an elevation of 2850 meters. Before we reach the summit we need to leave our skis and keep walking up to the wide sloped platform of Cima Grosté, at an elevation of 2897 meters. The wonderful view offers thrilling glances on Val Perse, on lake Lago di Molveno and on Mount Cima Brenta. The descent starts through the steep north slope and then runs through a narrow coilour and down to the Grosté cable car.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Grosté from east features a 413 meters elevation gain up to the col, a 460 meters elevation gain up to the summit and a 1246 meters elevation loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as OS (Excellent Skier). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
