Mount Cima Brenta, 3150 meters, is the second highest peak in the Dolomiti di Brenta Range. The climb to this marvelous mountain is a ong, wonderful and articulated ski mountaineering itinerary. Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Brenta

The excursion starts from the top station of the Grosté cable car, at an elevation of 2437 meters. After passing the hollow of Vedretta di Vallesinella Inferiore, after going round the west edge of Mount Torrione di Vallesinella and after passing Mount Castelletto Inferiore, the progression will lead us to Rifugio Tuckett.

After going down to the couloir at the foot of Mount Cima Massari, we climb up to the wide snowy hollow between Mount Cima Mandron and Mount Torri di Kiene. After a rocky stretch we face the north-west ridge and we reach Mount Cima Brenta Occidentale and Mount Cima Brenta. The beautiful descent follows the climb route until Rifugio Tuckett and then it goes down through valley Val Brenta.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Brenta features a 950 meters elevation gain and a 2000 meters elevation loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as OSA (Excellent Mountain Skier). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
