The ski mountaineering to Cevedale starts from Rifugio Larcher, reachable from Malga Mare in about 1.30 hours with a ski mountaineering itinerary. 

The excursion gradally goes up westward towards Vedretta de la Mare. The progression develops within a marvelous environment and, at an elevation of about 3000 meters, it turns towards the south ridge of Mount Cevedale and it leads the hiker all the way to the summit that is easily reached. The new summit Cross welcomes the ski mountaineers; they can enjoy an unforgettable view. During the last climbing stretch it is possible to reach the summit of Mount Zufallspitze.

The very beautiful and rewarding descending ski ride develops through the climb route. 

The climb can be done in about 4 hours and it covers a 1162 meter elevation gain. The itinerary is rated as MSA (mid grade ski mountaineer). Part of the path develops on glacier or on demanding ground and it is, then, advisable to bring the complete ski mountaineering and first aid equipment.
