The hike takes place through woods and pastures in valley Wieseralm and it offers thrilling views. The excursion starts from just above the Church in Predoi and right away Mount Ameisberg appears majestic to the hikers. The climb starts by skirting the creek Rio del Prato and it proceeds along an old forest track that will lead us to the end of the woods onto an open and flat ground. As we keep climbing we reach Malga Moar and the "Wieser Oberhütten" lodges in their enchanting environment.

The summit of Mount is now clear in the distance with its snowy slope. As we leave the plain pastures we climb up through the side of the mountain and we reach the ridge. Through the crest, then, we get to the summit.

The beautiful descent can take place either through the climb route or through Passo del Cane. A third option features a passage through Ameisberg.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Monte Fumo - Rauchkofel - features a 1800 meters elevation gain and loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as BSA (Good Ski Mountaineer). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
