The excursion starts from Colfosco; we start climbing through Edelweiss Valley until we enter the amphitheater that contains Lech de Ciampei. As we keep climbing we pass Forcella Ciampei and we go up a steep stretch, often carrying our skies on our backs. Heading south-west through the Altipiano del Crespeina, we proceed towards the col that separates Peak Ciampei from Peak Ciampac; the last steep stretch through the top ridge is incredibly scenic.

As far as the descent is concerned, we start skiing down west to Lake Crespeina and then to a nice couloir that will lead us to Val de Lietres. Skiing down among huge rocks and nice pines, we reach Vallunga and we keep going all the way to the Sellaronda ski lift to get back to Colfosco.
