Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Grosté from north

The excursion starts from the top station of the Grosté cable car, at an elevation of 2437 meters; after climbing up through motley grounds, we go round the north-east spur of Mount Cima Grosté. After climbing a steep snowy slope, we head towards the col that we face along its south side.

Once on top of the col, at an elevation of 2850 meters, we can leave our skis there and we can keep on climbing up to the summit of Mount Cima Grosté (2897 meters); from there we will get breath-taking views on valley Val Perse, on lake Lago di Molveno and on Mount Cima Brenta. The super fun descent takes place through the climb route.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Grosté features a 413 meters elevation gain up to the col, a 460 meters elevation gain up to the summit and a 1246 meters elevation loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as OS (Excellent Skier). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
