The ski mountaineering in Aosta Valley to Aiguille des Angroniettes starts from the little village of Planpincieux, at an elevation of 1583 meters; in a very beautiful environment the hikers will reach Arnouva (1769 meters). Gradually leaving the bottom of the Val Ferret, the path keeps going and it enters the little valley that leads to Rifugio Elena, at an elevation of 2060 meters.

Before crossing the little valley under the Econduits ridge the path goes back up to the upper Prè de Bar alpine pastures through some steep and scenic slopes. Once they reach the picturesque chalets the hikers will go up with a long traverse that will lead them to the bottom of the valley that gets wider and wider.

As it keeps going on the center of the valley, the path passes a steep slope and it goes up until Col du Ban Darrey, at an elevation of 2700 meters. From there the path turns and a long flat traverse heads south passing at the base of some steep couloirs that come down from Mount Aiguille des Angroniettes.

After reaching a comfortable valley that goes up almost all the way to the summit, the hikers will keep going through a short and rather steep slope and they will reach the mountaintop. The descent ski ride is really priceless; it develops super fun through the climb route.
