The ski mountaineering excursion starts in Campo, a district in Cortina where we leave our car. The first section of the path goes through a trail in the woods, with the option of a snowmobile ride, taking us to an elevation of 2046 meters, location of Lago Federa and the Rifugio Palmieri. Surrounded by spectacular landscapes, we leave the lodge and in the direction of the great rocky slabs of Cima Ambrizzola where we set up our crampons to continue climbing along gullies and snowy ledges until we reach the summit of the Adì Pass.

Descending the gully is truly exciting: we are embedded among rocky faces and sharp pinnacles that offer an unforgettable ski-run down to the Formin Valley. We keep on skiing along the wide valley reaching the Peziè de Parù area.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Croda da Lago has a 1500-meter elevation gain ascending and 1150 meters descending. it requires good training and mastering of ski mountaineering techniques, as it includes an OSA (Excellent Ski Mountaineering Skills) rating. The maximum incline is 45 degrees.
