Program of the Monte Rosa mountaineering tour

Day 1
Meeting point and departure from Staffal at Gressoney-La-Trinité. Ascent with the cable car up to Indren. About 1-2 hours walk to the refuge.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Mantova Refuge (3455)

Day 2
After breakfast, at dawn the climb starts to Zumstein Peak (Zumsteinspitze 4563 m) in about 5 hours. From the mountain top you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Alps. The excursion continues with the climb to Gnifetti Peak (Signalkuppe) and Capanna Regina Margherita (4554 m) where you will spend the day waiting for the sunset above the peaks. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3
After breakfast, at dawn the climb starts in succession to Parrot Peak (Parrotspitze 4435 m), Ludwighshöhe (4342 m), Corno Nero (Schwarzhorn 4321 m) and Pyramid Vincent (4215 m). Lunch at the Mantova refuge and return to Punta Indren to descend to Staffal with the lifts.

The Monte Rosa mountaineering tour is rated as PD+ and it includes progression on glaciers, mixed terrain and ridge passages. Good physical training is required.
