Matterhorn is perhaps the most renowned mountain in the world among mountaineers and mountain enthusiasts. Its first ascent, on July 14th 1865 by English Edward Whymper and French Michel Croz, was a wonderful and epic challenge that wrote one of the most memorable pages of the mountaineering history.

The Hörnli Ridge is the Swiss normal route, the least demanding route to climb the Matterhorn to its spectacular summit.
