Information about the snowshoeing at Passo Valparola

The Tour of the Great War on snowshoes takes us along an easy trail, quite interesting from historical and environmental viewpoints, enhanced by the visit to a small Austrian village, “Edelweiss Village”, renovated just a few years ago. We go around a large plateau, visiting artifacts from World War I and reaching later a summit where we enjoy a nice view of the Dolomites from the top. At the end of the excursion it is possible to visit the historical museum entirely devoted to the Great War which opened in August of 2003.

The World War I excursion on snowshoes around the Passo Valparola has an elevation gain of 180 meters and an F (easy) rating.
