This freeride skiing in Ponte di Legno Tonale ski area is probably one of the most renowned off-piste itinerary in the Western Alps. The freeride Cantiere stretches through the upper section of marvelous valley Val Presena that it is also called by the peculiar name of "La Sgualdrina" (the Slut). This evocative valley is an absolute freeride Paradise.

Information about the freeride skiing Cantiere
From Passo del Tonale the free-riders will take the Telecabina Paradiso cable car to go up to Passo Paradiso at an elevation of 2585 meters.
The freeride skiing Cantiere features three possible accesses and two exits.
Freeride Cantiere - 1100 meter elevation loss
After going up first through the track and then in the woods the path goes down and it enters the upper part of valley Val Presena. Here the valley is very wide and it allows a free path. After a thrilling skiing stretch, the central part of the itinerary goes on flat. Once the path reaches the old ski-lift, it enters a little military street that in mild declivity leads back to Passo del Tonale.
Freeride Sgualdrina - 900 meter elevation loss
From Rifugio Presena the hikers will go round the cable car station and they will go down into the valley. Then a very wide slope offers several possible descending options. A little before reaching the flat stretch, the path connects to the itinerary described before.
Freeride Monticello - 800 meter elevation loss
From Passo Paradiso the hikers will go through a short stretch on the Paradiso track before going back up on a nice slope. After choosing the best descending lines the mountaineers will cross the hump south of the ridge of Mount Monticello. At the beginnning of the little military street the path connects with the itinerary previously described.
This freeride skiing in Ponte di Legno Tonale ski area does not feature extreme skiing or mountaineering technical issues. It is good also for not particularly expert skiers but it calls for good physical training.

What you need to know
- Participants Anyone over the age of 16, with an adequate level of training and fitness, can participate in this experience.
- Under 18 Minors under the age of 18, if unaccompanied, require a waiver of liability from the parent or guardian of the child, that must be given to the guide before the excursion begins.
- Equipment Remember to bring the minimum required equipment for the activity. If you do not own the equipment let us know, we will provide it for you, if available or for hire.
- Reservation The reservation for this experience is individual, with a dedicated mountain guide. It may be reserved for a number of participants no greater than the maximum number allowed.
- Excursion price The price shown is for the excursion with the dedicated mountain guide and possible transfer using the guide's private vehicle. It is valid for individual reservations for a number of participants that does not exceed the maximum number allowed.
- Skipass The excursion requires the skipass, which is not included in the price, and may be purchased at the ski-lift ticket offices in the departure area.
