The magnificent route of the Sci Club 18 via ferrata to Mount Faloria unfolds on excellent rock along the face called Crepe di Faloria for an elevation gain of about 300 meters. It features overhanging moves, constant exposure and uninterrupted vertical climbing. It is a via ferrata with several athletic moves yet supported by a few steps.

Information about the Sci Club 18 via ferrata

The Sci Club 18 via ferrata to Mount Faloria unfolds along a route rich in technical and overhanging moves which challenge the climber, who is treated to a very rewarding experience in a spectacular aerial view of the Ampezzo basin and surrounding Dolomites. The recently built itinerary requires good training and climbing knowledge. Technically it is the most difficult in the Ampezzo basin and is perfectly bolted with a new fixed cable, aiders, close anchors and pitons, protected by plastic covers. It features overhanging moves, constant exposure, and uninterrupted vertical climbing.

The excursion starts at Mandres, the middle station of the Faloria cable car. We reach quickly the start of the via ferrata on an easy trail. We can return by cable car or along a steep trail.
