Information about the Berti via ferrata

The Berti via ferrata to Croda Marcora in the Sorapiss Group is a very well balanced and interesting route, set in a landscape of incomparable beauty. It unfolds along ledges, hanging terraces, wide and steep screes, dizzying and overhanging slopes, vertical stretches bolted with aiders and fixed ropes, woods, trails, pastures, and mountain lakes. Along this path it is easy to find steinbocks, chamois, and groundhogs. The long move along the Cengia del Banco, a wide aerial ledge cutting in half the majestic face just below the hanging Croda Marcora glacier (Sorapiss Group), is particularly thrilling, like an adrenaline shot, providing a unique experience.

The excursion is recommended to well-trained climbers who are experienced on exposed and detrital terrains. The itinerary begins at the top station of the Faloria cable car, reachable by jeep service, and it ends directly in San Vito di Cadore; return to Cortina is by taxi service.
