Information about the Brenva Glacier off-piste skiing

The Brenva Glacier off-piste skiing starts from Courmayeur. With the SkyWay Monte Bianco cable car the free-riders will ride both sections and they will go to Rifugio Torino. From the refuge, in one hour and half of walking with skin and climbing with crampons and iceaxe, they will go up the Tour Ronde along the normal route up to an altitude of 3700 meters.

The freeride-skiers will start the fantastic and demanding ski descent through the great Brenva Glacier, between wide slopes, ice towers in front of the Mont Blanc south face, the Aiguille Noire de Peuterey, the Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey and the Pilier d'Angle and, then, they will reach the very beautiful and evocative Val Veny.

The off-piste skiing to Brenva Glacier features a freeride itinerary for expert steep skiers. The main technical issues come mostly at the first part of the path along a very steep couloir but, in general, the itinerary must be faced with care. It features 45° declivities. Pick, crampons, helmet and mountaineering equipment are necessary.
