The traverse of Aiguilles d'Entreves is a very beautiful climb on motley and steep ground with III° exposed climb sections. It is a short tour that can be a very good introduction to prepare climbs to higher mountains.

Aiguilles d'Entreves Traverse schedule

The meeting with the mountain guide for the equipment check takes place at the Mont Blanc cable car bottom station. Riding the cable car the climbers will reach Rifugio Torino and they will, then, get to the glacier. After putting on climbing harness and crampons, the mountaineers will start going up towards Mount Col Flambeaux from where they will keep going heading to Mount Col d'Entreves where the climb starts.

After a first rather comfortable stretch the hikers will reach the east peak from where they will start a great climb through the sharp and exposed ridge. The last stretch, the most demanding, leads to the main peak.

The descent takes place through the ridge all the way to the glacier and then to Rifugio Torino.

Ascent 4/5 hours and 400 meter elevation gain. Descent 2 hours.
