Information about the Cesco Tomaselli via ferrata

The Cesco Tomaselli via ferrata unfolds along the beautiful southwest face up to the summit of Punta Fanis Sud, a favored observation point over the Dolomites: Tofane, Pelmo, Civetta, Marmolada, Sella, Pale di San Martino and more. The itinerary of Cesco Tomaselli via ferrata has an elevation gain of 300 meters; its top features are a very challenging start, a thrilling climb along a very exposed vertical face and the uncommon descent by via ferrata from the top of the mountain. It is well bolted with fixed ropes along the upward and downward routes, with well-spaced pitons that keep progression safe.

The excursion starts from the top station of the Lagazuoi cable car where we take a nice mountain trail leading to the start of the via ferrata near Bivacco della Chiesa. We can return either by cable car or walking down along a trail leading to Passo Falzarego.
