The ski mountaineering excursion to Pizzo Filone starts from Livigno, from the hamlet of Tresenda; through a nice little street the path enters valley Valle delle Mine and it crosses it until it passes Alpe Mine and Baitel del Grasso degli Agnelli.
The climb keeps going marvelous until the area where the valley is closed by a steep blockade. From there, according to the snow conditions, the path proceeds on the summer trail or through the little couloir that goes up skirting the rocky rampart. The progression, then, gets to a wide and sweet slope that goes up beautiful towards Colle delle Mine (2801 meters) that can be avoided going up through the slopes on its side heading for the south ridge of Mount Pizzo Filone. Some little couloirs lead to the summit: choosing the one with the best snow conditions, the hikers will walk up to the top of the mountain.
The descent takes place through the climb route. The ski ride is marvelous and it develops constant and smooth: really fun.

It features a development of 17 kilometers and the climb can be done in about four and a half hours.
