Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Loschiesuoi

The ski mountaineering itinerary starts at a small parking lot located along the road going from Cortina to Passo Giau. The trail climbs gently up the wide valley that leads to Forcella Giau until it turns in the direction of a large deep valley that we climb on skis, just across the Torre Dusso. Once we reach the pass we put our crampons on and we climb a steep slope up to the cross on the summit, at an elevation of 2626. The view of all the Dolomites from the top is spectacular.

From there we go down a long stretch, quite steep and structured leading us to Forcella Passoliva where we begin a spectacular ski run along a narrow gully followed by long beautiful slopes taking us to our starting point.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Cima Loschiesuoi has an elevation gain of 700 meters both up and down. It requires good training and ski mountaineering technical skills and is rated BSA (Good Mountain Skier). Maximum incline is 45 degrees.
