This off-piste skiing in San Martino di Castozza starts from the top station of the cable car of Mount Rosetta, at an elevation of 2633 meters. After climbing a short stretch with our seal skins through the magnificent upland Altopiano delle Pale di San Martino, we pass Rifugio Pradidali and we get by Passo di Ball at the entrance of the beautiful descent couloir, squeezed between the walls of Mount Sass Maor and Mount Campanile Pradidali.

The descent takesplace through the couloir - narrow and steep in the beginning - and along the sweeter Valley Val Pradidali; it flows thrilling and it is never too difficult; it leads to lodge Baita “La Ritonda” in Val Canali. The hikers will take a taxi to get back to the starting point.

The off-piste skiing in San Martino di Castrozza to Val Pradidali features a 150 meters elevation gain and approximately a 1300 meters off-piste skiing elevation loss. It requires good training and mastering of skiing techniques because of its BS (Good Skier) rating. Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
