The ascent of Monviso, also known as Monte Viso or King of Stone, along the East ridge is an extraordinary experience for mountaineering enthusiasts: an ascent as magnificent as it is lengthy, demanding significant physical effort. The Monviso East ridge ascent is a very aesthetic route, one of the great classics of the Alps. It is a very satisfying climb that requires confidence in vertical terrain and proficiency in navigating with stiff-soled boots on rocky terrain.
