Ferrata Olivieri to Punta Anna at Tofana di Mezzo

Via Ferrata Olivieri is one of the most popular and beautiful of the Dolomites because of the itinerary's total exposure and for the featured technical and vertical sections. The climb mostly follows the southeast buttress of Punta Anna and the spur of the Tofana di Mezzo, up to its summit at 2731 meters, where we enjoy a spectacular and unique view.

Information about the via Ferrata Olivieri to Punta Anna

The itinerary of the via ferrata is bolted with fixed ropes, for an elevation gain of 300 meters; its top features include beautiful aerial sections, the athletic ‘key crossing’ of the vertical and exposed spur halfway through the via ferrata, and the favorable exposure to the sun. The descent from Punta Anna is as thrilling; it unfolds along exposed ledges and typical Dolomitic screes, where it is possible to take on breathtaking descents.

The Via Ferrata Olivieri is recommended to all those individuals who are average physical shape. The excursion starts at the Rifugio Dibona, reached by car on the road from Cortina to Passo Falzarego. The approach is 45 minutes long, along an easy and well-marked trail leading to Rifugio Pomedes and the start of the via ferrata.
