Climbing the Pollux from Cervinia

The meeting with the mountain guide for the equipment check takes place at the Plateau Rosà cable car bottom station in Cervinia. Riding the cable car the climbers will reach Plateau Rosà and Rifugio Guide del Cervino, from where the mountaineers will start going up towards the Mount Pollux (Monte Polluce).

The climbers will follow the trace of the normal route of the Breithorn, and will begin to traverse under the Breithorns and the Roccia Nera. Passing under the Violante Bivacco and the Mount Porta Nera the climbers will join the trace of the classic normal route of the South-West ridge, to reach the summit of the Pollux. They will enjoy the spectacular panoramic views from the summit. After spending some time there, they will start the descent along the same climbing route.
