Dufour Peack mountaineering ascent

Climbing Dufour Peack (Dufourspitze), passing through the Città di Mantova refuge (3498 m), features an exciting, scenic and challenging mountaineering experience. The climb to Punta Dufour is intended for expert mountaineers, it entails a good physical effort and a certain confidence with elevation and high mountain environments.

Day 1
Meeting point and departure from Staffal at Gressoney-La-Trinité. Ascent by ski lift to Punta Indren (3270 m) and then to the Città di Mantova refuge in about 1 hour walk.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
After breakfast, at dawn the ascent, along the Normal route, will start to the summit of Punta Dufour (4634 m). Descent by the same route and return to Gressoney-La-Trinité with lifts in the afternoon.

The climb to Punta Dufour is rated AD, the route includes passages on rock and ice, 40° snow and ice slopes, grade III climbing steps

We will respond immediately to confirm the availability of the guide, the deadline, if any, to confirm the option for the reservation, methods of payment, characteristics and organization of the mountaineering ascent.
