Western Breithorn Normal Route from Cervinia

The meeting with the mountain guide for the equipment check takes place at the Plateau Rosà cable car bottom station in Cervinia. Riding the cable car the climbers will reach Plateau Rosà and they will, then, get to the Piccolo Cervino (Klein Matterhorn), from where the mountaineers will start going up towards the Breithorn.

The climbers will traverse the narrow snow-covered summit ridge to reach the summit. The last section involves a short but steep snow slope leading to the top of Western Breithorn (4165 meters). They will enjoy the spectacular panoramic views from the summit. After spending some time there, they will start the descent along the same climbing route.
