Located in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, the Sennes Plateau offers a wide choice of ski mountaineering itineraries for this sport’s fans.

The program includes two beautiful and pleasant excursions on the mountains surrounding the plateau and an overnight stay at the Sennes Lodge, strategically located to enjoy the magnificent view of some of the best peaks in the Dolomites: Croda Rossa at 3146 meters, Monte Cristallo at 3221 meters, Monte Sorapiss at 3205 meters, and the Tofane Group, at 3243 meters

Program and technical information

First day - Ski mountaineering excursion to the Lavinores Mountain at 2462 meters

Fun ski mountaineering itinerary reaching the top of Mount Lavinores. The trail is not particularly technically challenging. We descend along the northern slope of the mountain, a fun and straightforward ski-run.

Second day - Ski mountaineering excursion to Col de Riciogogn at 2654 meters

The ski mountaineering trail crosses the whole Sennes plateau, reaching the slope and taking you to the top of Monte Riciogogn. The spectacular descent runs along wide and open slopes in the Val di Crippes down to the woods and ending at the lake shelter. The bus ride to return to Pederu lasts about 15 minutes.

You will spend the one overnight stays in the mountain hut Rifugio Sennes, a very nice and cosy typical hut that offers to the hikers rooms and facilities, as well as a wide choice of excellent traditional mountain dishes.

What you need to know

  • Participants Anyone over the age of 16, with an adequate level of training and fitness, can participate in this experience.
  • Under 18 Minors under the age of 18, if unaccompanied, require a waiver of liability from the parent or guardian of the child, that must be given to the guide before the excursion begins.
  • Equipment Remember to bring the minimum required equipment for the activity. If you do not own the equipment let us know, we will provide it for you.
  • Booking The booking for this experience is to join a group with a shared mountain guide. It may be reserved for a number of participants no greater than the maximum number allowed and the availability left.
  • Price per person The price shown is for one participant in the group excursion with a mountain guide and possible transfer using the guide's private vehicle. It is valid for individual reservations for a number of participants that does not exceed the maximum number allowed and the group availability left.
  • Price includes The price shown includes the following services: mountain guide, transfers, breakfast, dinner and overnight at the mountain hut.

To book a two days ski mountaineering excursion with a shared mountain guide, you must choose the date in which you wish to take the group excursion and you must send a request that provides and specifies your contact information, the number of participants.
